Near-freezing temperatures, gray skies, drizzling rain, and a bunch of enthusiastic bright-eyed volunteers—that’s what we saw last Saturday. If 90% of life is showing up, we are batting a 100. It’s too bad we can’t control the weather. We were only able to work on a few of the houses because of weather, and it’s a sad day when you have to ask volunteers to go home. Our rainy days gave us the chance to get a lot of miscellaneous work done including back framing, painting, and clean up. Our afternoon cleared up and we were able to get a good start on siding several houses, and will continue siding on others.
